About the Story: The Mitten
A child loses a mitten in the snow, and one by one the animals of the winter forest find it and climb inside. A mouse, a rabbit, a fox, a deer, then a bear— each one certain there cannot possibly be room, and each one making room anyway. This story about sharing warmth in the coldest part of the year has always been a favorite for my preschoolers. They love acting this out after hearing the story for a couple of weeks!
