Spring Circle Time Highlights
During circle time, we learn seasonal songs and poems together. In this episode of Purple Day, we learn new lines and words to our poems, making our circle time slightly longer than last week. We also practice a mindful breathing exercise. This month we are learning Bumblebee Breathing.
About the Story: Maisie's New Mousie
This month we hear a pedagogical tale, sometimes called a teaching tale. These stories address an upcoming change, difficult event, or challenging behavior. Today we hear the story of Maisie’s New Mousie, about a little mouse who learns a new mousie sibling will soon join their family. This story helps validate any reservations a child may have about a new sibling while also focusing on the positive aspects of being a brother or sister.
