The Clay Pot

A series of animals find a clay pot resting in the meadow. They crawl inside to relax and eventually the pot is squished full of forest friends. That’s when the bear arrives and finds there isn’t room for him. This upsets the bear. He isn’t sure what to do with his upset and he uses his paw to hit the clay pot and send it rolling down the mountain into the forest. Once the pot comes to a stop, the forest animals find themselves surrounded by tall trees and there is a little hut close by. They decide to work together to make this place their home. The bear soon arrives with a heart-felt apology and desire to do better. They invite him to join their group and they all work together on their new forest home.

Today’s Purple Day Podcast is the audio from our Monday Storytime video. Storytime in the Schoolhouse is a nature-based, secular, inclusive membership for preschool-aged children and their families. Storytime families have access to five new videos a week as well as supportive curriculum and extension projects. We take the time to curate the songs, stories, and projects and give you more time to actually do these fun things with your child.
