Grandpa Ivy & the Fairy Baby / An Audio Episode from Storytime

purple day stories & storytelling

Curl up with your child on the couch or your favorite chair, and listen to a story from Storytime in the Schoolhouse. This audio is from a Monday, or Purple Day, episode of Storytime. This episode about an old gnome and a baby fairy will inspire your child’s curiosity and wonder about the natural world.

Story: Grandpa Ivy & the Fairy Baby

One full moon night, Grandpa Ivy is in his garden when he finds a fairy baby crying in one of his tulips. The fairy baby’s mama was out dancing under the full moon and left her baby in Grandpa Ivy’s garden, knowing she would be safe there. Grandpa Ivy keeps an eye on the fairy baby until her mama returns, rocking her to sleep when she wakes.

You can listen to this story in the audio episode of Purple Day above. Our Purple Day Podcast is the audio from our Monday episodes of Storytime in the Schoolhouse. Every Purple Day, or Monday, we are inside the Schoolhouse for circle time and storytime. You can listen to other Purple Day episodes from our blog.
