About this Story
Maisie’s New Mousie – Storytime in the Woods, Episode 14 (May 19)
This sweet story about new siblings is a pedagogical, or teaching tale, meant to address an upcoming change or difficult topic. Getting a new sibling can be both scary and upsetting. In this story, we follow Maisie and Mother Earth as they learn three gifts of being a sibling: play, friendship, and love.
This gentle, spring story is told outdoors in the forest by Miss Becca and is perfect for children in preschool and early elementary school (K–3). These stories are designed to nurture rhythm and imagination through Waldorf-inspired, nature-based storytelling.
